Many user-friendly and practitioner-focused web sites are being developed and maintained by government entities and national nonprofits.  These sites invest significant staff time and resources to remaining current on the ever-changing array of programsand tools available to practitioners working to prevent or mitigate the impacts of foreclosure.  Rather than replicating the excellent resources developed on these sites, links to several useful sites are provided.

This is a website offering resources intended to help states and localities respond to the foreclosure crisis. This site is maintained by the Center for Housing Policy, KnowledgePlex, Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), and the Urban Institute.

This site proves information on predatory lending as well as the National Community Reinvestment Coalition's refinance programs.

The Reinvestment Fund: Final Report on Mortgage Foreclosure Filings in Maryland

The United States Joint Economic Committee recently estimated that 15% of subprime mortgages currently in Maryland  will go into foreclosure before the end of 2009, causing a $2.73 billion loss in property related wealth to Maryland residents and a $19.1 million loss in property tax.
