Nonprofit members of BHPC support homeownership in the Baltimore area through foreclosure intervention counseling.  Foreclosure counseling assists families in danger of losing their homes.  Experienced housing counselors, certifed through the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD), help homeowners who are struggling with mortgage payments - whether they are already behind or in danger of falling behind.

Questions about Reverse Mortgages?

 

Reverse Mortgages -- also called Home Equity Conversion Mortgages (HECM) if originated through the Federal Housing Administration -- are complex loans.  They are not for everybody!  Understand the risks before you commit.
